"I’m gonna have a bash at the League Cross Country - first time running for my club!
Lots of water, toast, fruit, paracetamol and a strong coffee and I’m on my way lol Really not feeling 100%, but then I think of my sister right now and know that I can do it, even if it’s not perfect ❤️"
As I mentioned previously, I have a hyper mobility joint disorder and this was playing havoc with my hips and knees after a nasty slip a week previous. Despite my frustrations at this little set back in my journey, I decided that it was just another hurdle I would need to overcome. Challenging myself is my goal this year and where there is a will, there is a way. It's not about speed right now or winning anything, it's about working through things, personal accomplishment and not giving up.

Later that day:
"🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏅🏅 YEAH, I did it!! 💥💥 Really felt like rubbish this morning, but I was so determined and just ran off my adrenaline I think. Really enjoyed my first cross country league race and did alright I think! Oh my goodness though, what a mud bath that was! 😳 Very steep hills, steps, plus deep, slick mud = a challenge and a half, I sure don’t do things by halves! 😂 Great turnout and so much awesome support from my team mates. Great fun and another goal smashed ✅"

Then:
"Several hills later, a nice little jolly up this evil slope!! 😳😩😭 (My look of focus was me purely willing that my lungs wouldn’t pop 😂) Oh my days, that was a killer!"
